NICRE-hosted event

A world of opportunity
A recording of Prof Neil Ward’s seminar hosted by the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) at The Catalyst, is now available – see below.
The seminar – Net zero, food and farming: climate change and the UK agri-food system – held on 13th June 2022 was part of the 30th birthday celebrations for Newcastle University’s Centre for Rural Economy.
Neil, Professor of Rural and Regional Development at the University of East Anglia, and a former Director of CRE, examined the changes in food and farming over the last century and what drove them, to draw lessons for how the agri-food system can be managed over the next three decades to support the transition to net zero and avoid catastrophic climate change.
