Learning from the Foot and Mouth Crisis
This project considered the impact of the Foot and Mouth crisis on rural economies, with a specific focus on the North of England.

The research examined the institutional management of Foot and Mouth, the response of rural firms and farms and the effects on consumer attitudes, the project sought to explain the conduct and impact of the crisis and identify medium-term consequences for rural policy and governance and programmes for rural recovery.
