Professor James Annesley will take up the role of Acting Dean of Culture and the Creative Arts, and Professor Kirsten Gibson will be Acting Associate Dean of Engagement and Place (HaSS).
Both colleagues will cover Professor Vee Pollock for her period of research leave, this academic year. They have provided a short summary of their roles and priorities during this time:
Professor James Annesley: 'In my role as Acting Dean of Culture and the Creative Arts, I will be working with colleagues from across the University and a host of regional and national organisations, to shape the strategic direction for the University's cultural partnerships. Linking partners with our teaching and research strengths in culture and the creative arts, my work involves supporting and planning sector-focussed activity and contributing to the University's broader place and engagement agenda.'
Professor Kirsten Gibson: 'As Acting Associate Dean of Engagement and Place (HaSS), I am looking forward to working with colleagues across the Faculty, as well as a broad range of external partners. My work will support, facilitate, and shape the University's engagement and place strategy within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. I will be working closely with James to support the University's cultural partnerships, particularly in relation to teaching and research strengths and interests in HaSS'.
