Our BA in Film Practice will equip you with the practical skills and academic knowledge you'll need to produce documentaries and films.
This undergraduate degree focus on documentary and experimental approaches to film-making.
You'll use digital technologies to develop your creative film-making practice.
You'll also study film theory so that you can contextualise your film practice within the mainstream film industry and the independent film sector.

Culture Lab is home to the MA in Creative Arts Practice.

Postgraduate Research

Acclaimed filmmakers Nick Broomfield and John Akomfrah joined Film@CultureLab as Visiting Professors of Film Practice in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Film Practice
Film@CultureLab is committed to developing a distinctive approach to film practice pedagogy and research. This is rooted in an understanding of film as a cinematic medium, and filmmaking as a means of expression. It also looks at filmmaking as a way and of challenging, critiquing, and intervening in the social and historical world.
