Colin is a former full-time member of staff at the university. He worked with CURDS on key research projects for more than 20 years.
He has specialist skills in programming and analysis of large sparse matrices of flow data on commuting and migration.
Boundary work
He has, for two decades, been a core member of the CURDS teams working on boundary definition. In particular, he has worked on the definition of TTWAs (Travel-to-Work Areas).
Colin is a joint author, with colleagues Mike Coombes, Tony Champion and others, of more than 20 journal articles and book chapters.
