Introduction
I am a current NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry based at Newcastle University. I am currently working on a programme of clinical research, focussing on molar incisor hypomineralisation, dental trauma and oral health inequalities, utilising economic modelling and preference elicitation methods. My PhD, DECIDE study (Dental ExtraCtion versus filling of adult teeth In chilDren: A cost Effectiveness analysis) was funded by an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship.
I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with the school, faculty and north-east deanery.

Research Interests
My main research interests focus on molar incisor hypomineralisation, dental trauma and oral health inequalities, utilising economic modelling and preference elicitation methods. My PhD, DECIDE study (Dental ExtraCtion versus filling of adult teeth In chilDren: A cost Effectiveness analysis) was funded by an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship undertook economic modelling and discrete choice experiments to determine cost-effectiveness and both young person and adult values of different strategies for managing compromised first permanent molars in
children.

Industrial Relevance
Economic evaluations are becoming increasingly important for both public and private providers and commissioners of dental care. Additionally, I plan to work with developers of new dental technologies in carrying out economic evaluations of emerging treatments.
