I have recently completed a part-time PhD (under staff regulations). My PhD was a mixed methods care-based study investigating a relatively unexplored area within healthcare looking at whether taking part in a randomised controlled trial (FiCTION) in primary care impacted on a parent's dental anxiety, oral health-related quality of life and attitude towards dental care and that of their children. This involved working with 27 different primary care dental practices in Scotland and north-east England, Newcastle University Trials Unit and two different clinical centres.
I currently in the process of writing up for publication.
