The pulp biology group is concerned with the diagnosis and management of pulpal inflammation from initial caries through to pulp necrosis and symptomatic apical periodontitis as well as the development of persistent pain which can follow.

Understanding the inflammatory and nociceptive pathways within pulpitis
Developing therapeutics to manage acute pulpitic pain
Aetiology and management of persistent pain following trauma to the trigeminal nerve
