What is the Discover Festival?
Discover Festival is a free, one day festival of interactive family-fun in the heart of the North East. It’s all about bringing ideas and people together; making the impossible feel possible. It's a day of building connections, sparking ideas, and leaving you with a sense of wonder.
We’ll be planning a day filled with activities and events to inspire all ages – with a new Festival programme due in 2025.

Celebrate as our city-centre campus comes together next year, as a vibrant hub of curiosity and creativity. There'll be a jam-packed schedule of captivating experiences for you to take part in. So you won’t be short of things to do during your visit.
Watch scientists conduct real-life experiments, take part in robotics workshops, listen to inspiring music and stage performances, and get involved in activities suitable for children and adults alike.
