Stephanie Bingham Fellowships
Congratulations to Stephanie Bingham who has recently been awarded with Fellowships from two major education authorities.
Stephanie is a Lecturer and Programme Director in NETSP, based in the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences. The purpose of NETSP is to facilitate school improvement by offering the highest standard of professional development and leadership programmes to teachers and school leaders. This is available to anyone from early years settings, nurseries, schools and academies.
Stephanie has worked in education for 30 years and has been leading training through NETSP since 2017.
Stephanie's fellowships
In April 2022, Stephanie was made a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching after receiving a peer nomination from Professor René Koglbauer, Dean of Lifelong Learning in the School of Communication, Education and Language Sciences, Newcastle University.
More recently, she has achieved Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Authority (SFHEA).
Both awards mean that the work which Stephanie leads in NETSP is recognised by national bodies whose focus is on excellence in teaching at all levels of education. Fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching brings access to national forums and workshops. It will also help provide a voice for educators in the North East at a national level. With this, Stephanie will also have access to professional development, which will build her expertise as she develops programme materials for NETSP.
These fellowships are an acknowledgement of the importance of high-quality teaching; not just of pupils, but of adults working in education. They will also allow me to access professional learning to develop my own practice.
