Background
I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, completing my MSc in Language Pathology and graduating from Newcastle University in 2008. As an undergraduate, I studied Language and Linguistics and graduated from the University of Ulster in 2005. I have worked clinically in the NHS for the last 12 years and specialise in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders following stroke. I have worked as a Practice Educator at Newcastle University since 2015. Most recently, my role as a lecturer includes leading in the Adult Campus Clinic (Tavistock Aphasia Centre) which provides a clinical placement with adults for all BSc and MSc students on campus during their training.
