Newcastle University researchers only:

3VIEW Serial Block Face Sectioning

Approximate prices as follows:

  • Specimen processing to resin using heavy metal protocol from £70 sample
  • Specimen preparation from £60 per pin. This includes checking orientation and sample face on the TEM
  • 3view set up and image collection £85 per day

Please discuss your project with us as we can offer you plenty of support from sample collection through to image anlysis.

Transmission Electron Microscopy

Approximate prices for use of our Transmission Electron Microscopy services are as follows:

  • machine time £53 per hour including all high resolution images.
  • staff imaging on your behalf £58 per hour
  • specimen processing to resin from £45 per sample
  • ultrathin sectioning £45 per block
  • technician time from £30 per hour

Scanning Electron Microscopy

Approximate prices for use of our Scanning Electron Microscopy services are as follows.

  • Machine time from £53 per hour, including all images collected.
  • Specimen preparation, critical point dried and gold coated, from £95 per run  up to 6 samples
  • SEM plus EDS from £58 per hour including report
