Ama Asiedu-Asante is an electrical engineer with a background and industrial experience in instrumentation and automation. Her research interests lie in automation, instrumentation, and measurement, particularly as they apply to industrial process control, electrical grid systems, and lithium-ion battery-based energy storage systems. Ama holds a Master of Science in Automation and Control with Distinction from Newcastle University, UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Ghana. Ama's professional journey includes significant roles such as Assistant Lecturer at the University of Mines and Technology, Ghana, where she taught and supervised numerous undergraduate projects, and Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor at Forge Group, Ghana, working on the AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine reconstruction project. In her current role as a Research Associate, she is involved in developing testing prototypes for the characterization of a new class of adhesive aimed at supporting a zero-waste manufacturing economy.
