Research
I am currently working as a Lecturer with Professor Alex Yakovlev and Dr. Rishad A Shafik, as part of the µSystems (Microsystems) Research Group.
I was previously working with Dr. Geoff Merrett and Prof. Bashir M. Al-Hashimi at the University of Southampton on PRiME Project, for lifetime improvement of multi-core embedded systems through machine learning-based power control.
My research also focuses on sustaining computation during intermittent supply and graceful performance modulation for power-neutral energy harvesting devices.
I also collaborated with Prof. Luca Benini at the University of Bologna, on FLEXMETER project titled "Flexible smart metering for multiple energy vectors with active prosumers". My focus was on HW/SW design of high-performance and low-power embedded systems.
Earlier in 2015, I have successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Prof. Luca Benini and Dr. Davide Brunelli. Telecom Italia funded my Ph.D. My thesis focuses on ultra-low power and non-intrusive wireless monitoring for smart buildings.
I have also been involved on 3ENCult (Efficient Energy for EU Cultural Heritage) project, focused on the design of Wireless Sensor Networks for monitoring environmental conditions and energy efficiency in historical buildings, and on Telecom Italia project titled “Smart-Energy Harvesting Systems for Non-intrusive Load-Monitoring and Energy Metering”.
I have published more than 30 papers in top embedded systems conferences and journals.
