Elias Hasan is a research assistant transitioning to associate specialising in biofabrication with a focus on product design and manufacturing. He gained extensive knowledge in additive manufacturing, particularly in FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) and SLA (Stereolithography) technologies. Throughout his PhD program, Mr Hasan worked with Dr Ana Marina Ferreira Duarte and Dr Piergiorgio Gentile where he received and developed an in-depth understanding in design and manufacturing proccess and design prototyping. His research, which is centred on skin wound healing and product development, has provided him with significant experience in bioengineering.
Mr. Hasan utilised his background in electromechanical engineering to advance prototyping towards engineering-driven testing and validation, focusing on fluid flow, aesthetics, ergonimics, and spray distribution, followed by physico-chemical and biological properties validation. His interdisciplinary approach focuses on the development of therapeutic and regenerative skin coatings, leveraging advanced engineering techniques to potentially transition his work towards enhancing skin wound healing.
