Dr Paulina Kuranchie is a Strategic Communications lecturer, researcher, and practitioner. Her passion for Public Relations stems from her belief that PR can be a force for good.
She previously taught Public Relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism now University of Media Arts and Communication. She has also held adjunct positions at University of Westminster and University of East London.
Paulina has consulted for organisations such as Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa, UNICEF, and the United Nations Information Centre in Accra, as well as numerous public and private sector entities in Ghana and Africa.
Paulina was honoured as one of the six most influential PR Women in 2017 and in 2023 as one of the Top Ten Women in PR by Women in PR Ghana. Her dedication to the industry is further demonstrated through her advisory role on the Board Committee for Marketing and Promotions of Ghana's Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) and her membership on the Advisory Board of Women in PR Ghana.
She joined the School of Arts and Cultures in November 2023.
Paulina has experience teaching subjects and curricular content in Media and Public Relations at undergraduate and post-graduate level; including introduction to PR, digital communication, crisis communication, CSR, PR strategy and campaign planning, measurement and evaluation, PR Consulting/Freelancing and ethics.

Paulina's research interests are in Strategic Communication, Digital Marketing, Global Public Relations, Digital Public Relations, Political Communication/PR, Social Media Participation, Media and Politics in Africa, Decolonisation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Qualitative Methods
