Presently working as a Research Associate in Marine Engineering department on the subject of cable dynamics subjected to complex ocean environment. I use reduced order modelling combined with stochastic dynamics to model the vortex induced vibrations of the cable under turbulent fluid flow. Finite element methods are employed for the modelling.
I have previous performed experiments as well as numerical computational fluid dynamics simulation for the aero-structural optimization of decks of long span bridges during my post-doctoral term at University of Coruna, Spain.
I have my PhD in mechanical engineering from IIT Bombay, India and my MS in ocean engineering from IIT Madras, India.
