I am an internationally recognized researcher in solids processing intensification, with a particular focus on micro-fluidized beds. My work combines experiments, simulations, and theory to enhance the efficiency of industrial processes involving granular materials. My research covers areas such as micro-reactor technology, carbon capture, and solid process screening, with a broader interest in multiphase flow and particle technology. I integrate these insights into my teaching, developing research-driven content for courses like Process Intensification, where I deliver specialized material on micro-reactors.

Research Vision
My research vision is to explore the of i particles in granular systems in general and fluidized bed system to relate these behaviors to the macroscopic properties of such systems. By combining experimental, simulation, and theoretical approaches, I aim to deepen the fundamental understanding of granular material processes and enhance the efficiency and reliability of industrial applications involving their handling.
Research Background
The primary focus of my research lies in particle technology and multiphase flow. My initial work focused on granular dynamics in dense systems, particularly using advanced techniques like Dynamic Wave Scattering (DWS) and Speckle Visibility Spectroscopy (SVS) to measure granular temperature—an important parameter for understanding dynamic granular processes. More recently, my work has shifted towards the study of miniaturized fluidization, or micro-fluidization, with applications in carbon capture, bioreactor systems, and solid process screening.
Through collaborations with international institutions and industry partners, I have contributed to European and EPSRC-funded projects aimed at developing scalable solutions for industrial processes. My ongoing work continues to explore new applications of micro-fluidized beds, including desorption technologies and direct air capture, with a focus on creating sustainable industrial solutions.
