Background
I am a KTP associate in the electrical power group in the School of Engineering at Newcastle University. My research interests are in the areas of marine energy resources such as wind, tidal, wave and floating solar PV energies, power system optimization and control, grid integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), control of parallel DC-DC converters and electrifications of oil and gas platforms and Multi-Use Platforms (MUP).

- PhD in Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, Strathclyde University 2017-2021.
- MSc in Renewable Energy, School of Engineering and Built Environment, Edinburgh Napier University 2015-2016.
- Industry working experience (12+ years) in multinational companies in different countries. Industry experience was on projects such as medium voltage substations and underground cables, solar systems, block valve stations of gas pipelines, construction of hospitals and power generation plants.
Research
Currently, I am working on a project for developing a grid-scale battery system to enable higher penetration of renewable energies for achieving a net-zero grid.
