Project description

I am investigating a variety of design methodologies and properties of Additively Manufactured TPMS structures. Additive Manufacturing is also known as 3D printing. These structures use a particular novel, high-strength, reinforced thermoplastic paste. This can be used over large areas. It is able to provide a viable, cost- and labour-effective alternative to certain current large-area manufacturing processes.

This project is in collaboration with the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (OREC) in Blyth, Northumberland.

Interests

I am a Member of the Institute of Physics and have a fascination with cosmology and our place in the Universe.
