Project description
During my undergraduate studies in and master’s degree, I developed a particular interest in the tribology and biomechanics of artificial joints.
I am developing an understanding of the biotribology of upper limb prostheses, with a particular focus on the shoulder. I am carrying out a series of comprehensive wear tests on artificial shoulder joints. I am using a unique multi-station shoulder simulator. I am investigating the surface topographical assessment of explanted shoulder replacement prosthesis.
