Project description
I am developing a computational model to predict biofilm formation and deformation. I have used an individual-based model to study how the amount and properties of EPS affect biofilm formation, deformation and detachment. I have modelled the effects subject to different shear rates. Such a model has been further extended to a two-way coupling CFD-DEM model. I have also adopted the two-way coupled model to predict flow-induced biofilm streamer oscillation.
I am using computational modelling to predict biofilm deformation in porous media and biofilm detachment in the microchannel.
