Project description
We are developing a whispering gallery mode resonator based device. We will take advantage of the high quality factors present in sphere based WGMs along with the convenience of fibre taper based coupling.
We will develop nano-particles. We will deposit them within range of the WGM’s evanescent field where strong-coupling can occur. This will allow us to observe non-linear interactions with a relatively low power pumping laser.
This will assist in the development of novel devices that take advantage of these features. A few recent examples include:
