Project description
Metaldehyde is the active ingredient in molluscicide pellets. It is often found in finished water at concentrations above the regulatory limit of 0.1 µg/ml. Thus, it has become an environmental concern.
There are standard procedures for estimating environmental fate. But these do not predict that metaldehyde is a pollution problem. This project will highlight the limitations of standard guidelines for specific case studies. We are using metaldehyde in this case.
