Project description
Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) systems provide drivers with a suggested speed. They allow drivers to travel through the intersection when the green light is on.
We are developing a framework for use in developed countries to evaluate the potential of using GLOSA systems. In particular, we will investigate its use in signalised areas and at interchanges with major highways. We will develop the method generically. Thus, it may be applicable to less sophisticated signal control environments in developing countries.
We may have the opportunity to get access to data from Medina if we have enough time for its analysis.
Interests
C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems), ITS, SCOOT (Split Cycle and Offset Optimisation Technique), GLOSA (Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory).
