Monday 16 September

13:00 - Welcome Talk from Degree Programme Director - L201, Merz Court

Time:

  • 13:00 - 14:00: Group 1

A welcome talk for Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management PGT students with the Degree Programme Director, Sharon Joyce.

This session will be run in groups. Your group allocation will be emailed to your student email before Induction Week starts.

Time: 15:00 - 16:00

A welcome talk for all Postgraduate Taught students.

Tuesday 17 September

This is an introduction to the Research, Communication and Professional Skills (CME8064) module with Katie Wray.

Wednesday 18 September

09:00 - Computer Clusters Drop-in - SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a & 8.10b, Merz Court

Time: 09:00 - 14:00

Venue: SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a and 8.10b, Merz Court

Designated computer space to access online courses for Sustainable Chemical Engineering MSc and Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management MSc students.

PhD students are available throughout the day to help with online services. You don't have to stay all day.

This session is optional.

Thursday 19 September

10:00 - Introduction to the Language Resource Centre - L202, Merz Court

Time:

10:00 - Student-Staff Social Event - Kings Hall, Armstrong Building

Time: 10:00 - 11:00

Venue: Kings Hall, Armstrong Building 

A chance to get to know other PGT students, personal tutors and staff.

Refreshments will be provided.

14:00 - Wellbeing introduction session - L101, Merz Court

Time: 14:00 to 15:00

Venue: Room L101, Merz Court

An introduction to Wellbeing support within the School.
