Science for Engagement conference 2025
19th - 20th June
Stephenson Building
Overview
Climate change is not just a scientific challenge—it is a lived reality for vulnerable communities worldwide. Traditional expert-driven research, often detached from social and ecological complexities, struggles to deliver solutions. Co-Creation integrates diverse knowledge systems—scientific, local, and Indigenous to ensure that climate solutions are not only academically rigorous but also socially relevant, ethically just, and practically effective. Co-creation can restore public trust in research, fosters democratic engagement, and enhance the impact of climate action and environmental justice.

- Participatory Approaches – Indigenous knowledge, climate justice, and adaptation
- Science & Engagement – Effective communication and democratic methods
