Staff

I am an Education Governance Manager working in the Education Policy and Governance Service, part of Student Services. I support quality assurance processes (Learning and Teaching Reviews, External Examiners overview reports, Educational partnerships,…) and policy writing.

I lead on the areas of External Examiners and accreditation. I am also secretary to Cross-Faculty Education Committee (CFEC).

Background

I have worked in an international higher education context for over 15 years. My previous job was as a Quality Assurance Adviser at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). This role also allowed me to develop and give workshops on pedagogical topics such as learning outcomes, reliable and valid assessments, rubrics, and internationalization of the curriculum.

I hold a PhD in literature from Ghent University, Belgium, and taught an undergraduate course in narratology for three years.

I currently also work as a part-time counsellor in the Student Health and Wellbeing Service (SHWS) of the University.
