Anne-Marie Trevelyan

Anne-Marie Trevelyan was first elected as Member of Parliament for the Berwick-upon-Tweed constituency at the 2015 general election and held that seat until the general election in 2024.

Anne-Marie has served as Secretary of State for Transport, Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade, and Secretary of State for International Development.  She seved as Minister of State for the Indo-Pacific in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office from 2022 to 2024

Anne-Marie was the UK International Champion on Adaptation and Resilience for the COP26 Presidency, and served previously as Minister for Energy, Clean Growth and Climate Change, and Minister of State for the Armed Forces and Minister for Defence Procurement.

A chartered accountant by profession, Anne-Marie sat on the House of Commons’ Public Accounts Committee from 2015-2017, and again in 2019. As an MP, she was an outspoken advocate for greater autism awareness and workplace inclusion and was passionate about making the impact of the Armed Forces Covenant for military veterans and all our military families more effective. Locally she campaigned for road infrastructure investment and much greater investment into tree planting.

Her personal interests include walking across the incredible landscape her vast and varied constituency affords, cooking for friends and reading.
