Lisa is currently Head of Strategic Communications at MHP Group, where she advises a wide range of clients on corporate communications strategies, reputation management and crisis communications. Lisa joined MHP from the centre of government where she was Deputy Chief Executive of the Government Communication Service and prior to that, Director of Communications at the Department for Work & Pensions. During the coalition government, Lisa was a special adviser to Jeremy Hunt MP and Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP.
Whilst in government, Lisa led communications for the funeral of HM The Queen, the Covid-19 Inquiry and the government’s management of the high-profile industrial action disputes – attending COBRA meetings and advising Ministers, Number 10 and Permanent Secretaries around Whitehall. Lisa also established a new Crisis Communications Operating Model which is now followed by all government communicators.
Lisa started her career as a broadcast journalist in Cardiff and has worked at the England and Wales Cricket Board and as Head of Media at Lloyd’s of London.
Lisa is from Edinburgh originally and did her undergraduate at Newcastle University where she studied Politics. She lives in Surrey now with her husband and their two young girls.
