Stay connected with fellow alumni and the Geography, Politics and Sociology community.
Our alumni community
Your place in our community at Newcastle does not end with graduation. Our vision is to create a lively, active and ongoing relationship, bringing together current and former students and staff.
As a graduate, you become part of our global alumni community and as part of this community you:
- have access to a host of benefits and services
- can stay connected with your fellow School of Geography, Politics, and Sociology alumni
- help the next generation of geography, politics and sociology students with your knowledge, insights and experience
Keep in touch
We are proud that our graduates look back on their time at Newcastle so fondly. We are keen to keep you up to date with all our latest news and developments.
By staying connected with us you'll be kept informed of upcoming events and reunion activities.
Events and reunions
We hold a wide variety of public lectures, events, and workshops which are always open to our alumni. We are keen to develop a programme of reunion events.
Get involved
Our alumni have established a diverse range of career paths. They have developed a rich array of professional skills and expertise in many international locations.
Our alumni's successes provide a valuable resource. They guide and inspire our research, teaching, and current students.
There are many ways in which our alumni contribute and support the ongoing life and achievements of our School. These include:
- guest lectures and talks
- our Professional Advisory Panel
- student recruitment
- international research links
As an alumnus/alumna, you can offer careers guidance and support to our current students. You may be able to provide work experience and internships.
You could also help current or prospective students explore options for postgraduate study.
Geography alumni also have the opportunity to assist with fieldwork for undergraduate students.
If you would like to contribute to any of these activities, contact:
- Geography: Dr Matt Benwell
- Politics: Dr Orly Siow
- Sociology: Professor Elaine Campbell
