About Claire
Studying at Newcastle
I studied MA Sociology and Social Research part-time. The course was an excellent foundation for further study and work. Sociology modules encouraged me to think critically and develop my writing style whilst social research modules taught me how to design and implement a research project.
A highlight of the MA course was being part of an excellent research community. The opportunity to hear from established academics and study alongside peers created a great learning environment.
Career Profile
These skills helped me to progress to PhD study and to establish a career in research. I now work as a Customer Insights Officer for the NHS Business Services Authority.
