Our degree programmes offer flexibility, diversity, and the chance to specialise. Our BA and BSc Geography degrees are accredited by the Royal Geographical Society and allow you to tailor your degree to your interests.

Research-led teaching
Our students learn from lecturers who are at the cutting edge of their disciplines.
We focus on real-world challenges such as climate change, sustainability, spatial and social inequalities, natural hazards, social justice, economic development, international geopolitics, and international development.
In the last Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment we were ranked in the top 10 Geography departments in the UK, and third for research impact.
In 2021 we were ranked 11th for Geography in the influential Academic Rankings of World Universities.
