Staff Profiles

I am a Research Support Officer working alongside Abbey Tate and our manager Lizzie Bell. I am originally experienced in operations management, accounting and have spent several years in the civil service working with the DWP and HMRC. I joined the HCA team in October 2022. 

I help support the academics and Lizzie in the day to day running of research projects, this could include such things as; 

• Support colleagues with initial costings for potential projects and adjusting them to be relevant to the funder. 
• Help guide colleagues to follow University and Funder guidelines to ensure projects and project costings are created and ran efficiently. 
• Manage and advise on project budgets, as well as general administration to keep projects running smooth. 
• Relay between the Grants & Contracts team and academics to raise projects through our internal NU Projects software. 
• Manage financial tasks such as, expenses, invoicing, auditing, amongst various other tasks.
