English language and visa requirements
If your first language isn't English you will generally need an IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent, to study at Newcastle University. Some courses have different requirements, so please check the course you want to study.

Societies
You will have the opportunity to build relationships with other students from around the world. We have over 200 societies and sports clubs that you can join including our Malaysian society.
