North East Together: Leaders Network for Social Change. Inspiration. Collaboration. Mutual Support.
Date/Time: Thursday 1 February 2018 at 16:45 - 20:00
Venue: Partners' Room 8.10, Newcastle University Business School
How does policy change happen? How can leaders of social change influence policy at local, regional and national scale in order to bring about social change? How can we make policy change happen?
Ed Cox, Director of ippr north will help us to understand policy change processes, and talk about how leaders of social change can engage with their policy change work.
There will also be opportunity to join in with live policy-change conversations, hosted by Millfield House Foundation’s Strategic Partners, whose purpose is to create policy change on issues of inequality in the North East. This will include:
- VONNE – hosting a conversation on the changing nature of public services
- Newcastle CAB – hosting a conversation on Universal Credit
- Regional Refugee Forum – hosting a conversation on refugee policy in the NE, and alliances with other organisations
