For PhD training KITE is part of the Newcastle University Business School, which has Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) recognition for PhD and CASE awards. Doctoral training draws on the ESRC-funded and accredited North East Doctoral Training Centre.

In addition, KITE provides well organised and thorough postgraduate training and supervisory support from within the Centre.

This includes:

• a variety of events and activities involving KITE colleagues
• opportunities to present work in progress within the Centre and later in conference settings
• regular internal workshop events where junior and senior staff interact to provide support and encouragement
