Evaluation of the Darlington Borough Council's Assistive Technology Project
- Project Leader: Gregory Maniatopoulos
- Staff: Rob Wilson, Mike Martin, Ben Whiston
- Sponsors: Darlington Borough Council
A three month evaluation of learning and effectiveness of the delivery of the Darlington Assistive Technology Project (Darlington Lifeline). We propose to undertake secondary analysis of existing quantitative data concerning installations and alerts, and to conduct new semi-structured interviews and document analysis to capture:
- performance measurement indicators of care outcomes including service usage, reliability and metrics of success,
- the perceptions of different stakeholders involved in the delivery of service (eg. service users and carers),
- levels of independent living associated with the quality of life for service users,
- costs and benefit analysis related to the deployment of the service for DBC,
- workshop discussions within DBC regarding the learning points from the Darlington Assistive Technology project and approach to governance and the service delivery evaluation process.
