The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Hellenic Republic.  The project is funded by the INTERREG IIIA Program between Greece and Albania and aims at the improvement of health services at the border prefecture of Florina but also at the development of cross border cooperation between the health services of Florina and Korce.

The objective of the project is at first the supply and installation of modern ICT equipment at the Florina General Hospital and at three regional points.  The equipment is followed by the training of medical personnel at the use of the equipment but also at broader issues of telemedicine.  In the framework of the project two studies are drafted, an implementation study and one best practice study.
