Law Facilities

We offer excellent, self-contained facilities and a place to 'belong'.

Our spaces

The law school has teaching rooms, academic offices and professional services office all based within Windsor Terrace. The majority of teaching rooms are accessible with step-free access.

The common room is a comfortable open space for students to meet up, and we have work spaces to suit everyone, whether you are looking for somewhere for quiet focus or a group discussion.

The Law Library

The Law Library will be closed from Friday 27 June 2025 to Monday 15 September 2025 to facilitate stock transfers.

During the closure period, the library will operate a print stock request service.

During 25/26, we will be in a transitional period where the Law Library will be open during teaching and assessment weeks only and with reduced opening hours of Monday to Friday 10:00-17:00.

Computing

There are computer clusters across Newcastle University’s campus. There's one in our Law Library.

Working off campus, you can access our IT facilities 24/7 with any internet connection.

You can connect your own laptop to Newcastle University’s wireless network on campus. All library sites also have laptops available to use within the building.

NUIT support is available 24/7.
