Staff Profile

Yang Guo began her Lecturer position in English Private Law in October 2023 at Newcastle Law School. Prior to this appointment, she pursued her PhD at Warwick Law School, where she delved into Gain-based Remedies for Various Wrongdoings. She has been teaching Tort law, Equity and Trust law as a senior graduate teaching assistant at Warwick Law School. She holds a Master's Degree in Civil and Commercial Law from Wuhan University, China, and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Law from Sichuan University.

Her primary research interests are centred on private law remedies, with a particular emphasis on the law of restitution. Given her international educational background, she is also passionate about undertaking comparative research in various areas of Private Law.

Research Interests: Restitution, Torts, Contract Law, Equity, Private Law Remedies, Private Law Theory.
