Abigail Newbegin - Copenhagen, Denmark 22/23
"I could not recommend Copenhagen more to students considering going abroad, it is simply beautiful, and I am so lucky to have been able to call it home for the last year.
The city itself is vibrant, quirky, and unique. The different neighbourhoods have so much to offer as does the city on a whole. Whether you are taking a canal tour around the harbour, cycling to meet friends, or stopping by at St Pedgers Bakery to grab a cinnamon roll (Denmark’s speciality) there is something for everyone.
The summer in Copenhagen was amazing, involving going for picnics, going to Tivoli, going to many wine bars and swimming in the many swimming areas. The workload at university is light which allows you to fully immerse yourself into the Danish coffee and cycling culture and also opens up the opportunity to travel to other European destinations (Italy, Krakow and Prague to name a few). Although, the Copenhagen lifestyle does come at an expense, but it is manageable if you get a part time job. I have met lifelong friends in this glorious city and I cannot wait to go back to visit".
