Roles and permissions

Permissions allow users to access specific student data within the learning analytics system and these permissions are dependent on the role that a user has been given. If you are registered as a Personal Tutor you will automatically have a Personal Tutor role within the system. On this page you can find out more about the additional roles available within the system and the process for approval for colleagues requiring these roles.

The following roles are available within the learning analytics system:

  • Personal Tutor: this is the default role within the system that is given to any colleague who is assigned as a Personal Tutor.
  • Senior Tutor: this role is for Senior Tutors and will give you access to the data for all personal tutees within your School.
  • School based Professional Services: this role is for all School administrators or other School-based Professional Services colleagues and will give access to all data related to students and Programmes within your School.
