ReCap in Meeting Rooms

ReCap is available for use in the following centrally supported meeting rooms:

• Kings Gate: Rooms 2.16, 2.17, 3.22, 3.33, 4.13, 4.14, 5.13 & 5.15
• Devonshire Building: Room G27

Please note that ReCap in meeting rooms is provided using Personal Capture (PCap) which operates differently to how ReCap is delivered in a teaching room in that:

1. Video (talking heads) from any installed webcams will be recorded as standard.
2. Recordings are ‘ad-hoc’ and must be started, stopped and managed manually.

Things to be aware of:-

1. It is not possible to use both PCap and Skype/Skype for Business/Zoom in a meeting room as there will be hardware conflicts.
2. If you wish to record your Skype for Business/Zoom call you should do this from within the application and then the recording can be uploaded to ReCap if you wish to use ReCap to store and share the recording.
3. A microphone must be connected when using PCap in a meeting room, otherwise the recording will fail.
