Internal Support
NEW: A vision for education and skills at Newcastle University: Education for Life 2030+
If you are thinking of making an application you may find the following resources useful. We have grouped the resources according to the key stages in making your application: gathering evidence, and making a case. Below are links to further resources, events and networks that can support your development.
Gathering evidence
An Evidence base document (PDF) which helps you to identify what kinds of evidence you could use in an application; and how to present such evidence in support of your case.
Doctoral supervision is teaching, and colleagues who are including evidence from their supervisory work may find the following resource useful when forming their claim. The UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) Dimensions of the Framework for Doctoral Supervisors is focussed on the UKPSF scheme but can be helpful when identifying how to frame supervision as part of a teaching promotions claim.
Workshop slides, handouts and video clips covering common errors and evidence:
- Steve McHanwell talks about common errors and evidence and what evidence looks like.
- Franck Michel - advice on gathering different kinds of evidence, or evidence from different sources - there are four short video clips: 1, 2 3 and 4
Making a case
