Personal Tutoring & Support tools
The tools within the landing page include:
My Tutees
The My Tutees tab displays a list of all your tutees by Stage. Selecting an individual student provides you with information that can be used to support tutoring conversations. This includes the ability to view meetings arranged between you and the student, any reflective posts they have shared with you, their timetable, their confirmed marks through NESS, their UCAS personal statement and previous qualifications, and their registration history at the university. There are also options to quickly set up a one-to-one meeting or contact students via email.
Find Person
The Find Person tab allows you to search for any user in the university database and contact them or set up a meeting directly through the landing page.
Meetings
The Meetings tab allows you to create and manage meetings with your tutees. You can create and offer one-to-one or group meetings with your tutees, or create meeting slots for one-to-one or group meetings, providing your tutees with timeslots to select meeting times that fit around their schedule. Add context or further information to your meetings with the notes functionality.
Support
The Support tab provides you with links to a wide range of services and resources that can be used to support the tutoring process, including information on Support to Study, and personal tutoring resources developed by Personal Tutors at the university. Additionally, links to a wide range of specialist services and support upon which students can call, such as the Student Health and Wellbeing Service and the Academic Skills Team are available.
Sharing
The Sharing tab allows you to set up groups to effectively share, organise, and communicate with students. Different types of groups can be set up with one or two-directional sharing, or Communities can be created for group work, projects, or placements etc. to allow students to collaborate and share reflective posts with each other.
Setting up a group also provides options to organise meetings with, or send direct emails to, all group members.
