Profile
I joined the Digital Education Projects team in LTDS in February 2020, having come from working for two other education institutions, including four years in HE Distance Learning, after cutting short training as a primary school teacher.
Up to October '20, I was working with the School of Engineering on their new Flexible Stage 1; spent much of 2020-21 working on Flexible Learning 2020 resources and training; and the 2021-22 year working with both SML and the Combined Honours school to build new Canvas Communities.
I live in a village outside Durham with my wife and two children, although am originally from the Kent/South London area, with seven years in Essex in between. I have special interest in Learning Design, and a particular interest in gamification in education, which grows from my love of gaming (board-, war-, and roleplaying-) outside of work.
Roles and Responsibilities
I am Digital Learning Liaison for the Law School, and work on projects across different schools and the whole university.
