Background and Previous Roles
I joined Newcastle University as an Operations Assistant in December 2019 and later became an Operations Administrator within the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics (SELLL). I was the co-chair of our Athena Swan SAT where I supported in School in obtaining their Bronze Renewal award. In August 2022 I joined the University's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team on secondment post as an EDI Project Coordinator. I coordinated a Wellcome-funded project to create an online EDI Toolkit for Researchers to help create a more inclusive research culture.
Current Role
In July 2023 I joined the Learning and Teaching Development Service (LTDS) as a Learning Enhancement and Technology (LET) Adviser, where I am a co-lead for our digital exam platform, Inspera Assessment, within our Digital Assessment Team. I also lead on our Vevox (our Audience Interaction System) as well as supporting accessibility work in my team.
In November 2024 I was awarded my Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
I was one of the co-leaders of the Learning and Teaching Conference 2025 committee.
