Background
I am astrophysicist interested in neutron stars and their magnetic fields.
Research
In my multidisciplinary research programme, I plan to develop powerful tools to probe nucleon-nucleon interactions under extreme conditions which cannot be reached in Earth laboratories. I plan to model three-dimensional magneto-thermal evolution of neutron stars including different types of superconductivity in cores. I will convert produced surface thermal maps into synthetic X-ray observations such as lightcurves, phase-resolved spectroscopy and X- ray polarisation using a state-of-the-art tool that I am developing (Magpies).
