BACKGROUND
Before joining the MBBS team at Newcastle University I was Director of Education and Admissions and Recruitment Lead for the School of Medicine at Durham University. I have a background in teaching and research in Cardiovascular Physiology and Pharmacology and worked as a British Heart Foundation Researcher/Lecturer at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff.
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA)

I teach cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology on the MBBS programme and also on the MPharm and Pharmacology BSc courses.
I lead on MBBS Case 2: Cardiac Arrest and I'm also the module lead for BSc Pharm PED2007: Cardiovascular Pharmacology
My research mainly focuses on Medical Education.
